You spent precious time crafting your post. Now, how on earth do you get people to actually read it?  And better yet, pass it along. Keep in mind it’s all about rewarding the reader who has given you a few minutes of their precious time. With the rapid fire pace of online communications, you’ve got to liven up your style and produce entertaining, useful, and easy-to-digest copy.  1. Write less – sure your writing is good, but even better when I can understand what you are saying with a quick scan. Use short sentences and follow #2. 

2. Get to the point – save your manners and say what you think. Don’t qualify or explore every contingency. Make your point and move on.

3. Use active voice – eliminate weak words and make sure your subject is doing the action. “The surfer’s foot was bitten off by the shark.” Or  “The shark bit off the surfer’s foot.” You get the point.
